High Performance Glass Makes All The Difference in Replacement Windows
When you turn to Rescom Exteriors for replacement windows in Auburn and the surrounding areas, you’re windows will carry superior performance glass designed to save on your monthly energy bills and to both outlast and outperform your existing windows.
Multi-Pane Glass for Superior Insulation
Many homes are filled with what are called single pane windows. Windows with one pane of glass do not do enough to block the transfer of energy between your home and the outdoors, which makes them drafty and leads to higher energy bills. At Rescom, each window we install utilizes multi-pane glass packages consisting of either two or three panes of glass that are stacked to create a “sandwich.” The space in between the glass panes is not left empty – that would defeat the purpose. Instead the narrow space is filled with a safe, inert gas, usually argon or krypton. The inert gas is sealed between the panes and acts as an effective thermal barrier to greatly reduce energy transfer.
Energy Efficient Low-E Glass
Energy efficiency is key when choosing replacement windows. At Rescom we offer an advanced glass package called Low-E glass, which maximizes your home’s energy efficiency by reducing the amount of heat entering or escaping. Low-E (“low emissivity”) glass has a thin layer of oxidized metal coating one side, which greatly enhances the glass insulating properties. Heat and light are allowed to enter, but the thin metal sheen does not allow heat or light back out. The glass is still transparent, yet is incredibly efficient at reducing energy loss.
Advanced glass packages are just one factor that makes Rescom your leading choice for windows in Auburn and the surrounding areas. To learn more, schedule an appointment with our experienced design consultants!
